The long weekend of May has been booked by Bob for our 2011 show. 
 We might want to consider having the show a little later to take advantage of more visitors on the island. 
As an example, there was much greater attendance and also more sales with the Summer Painters' Guild show than in the spring, when we also had a show.

I don't know if there are any openings in July and August at ArtSpring for our show at this point, but anyway, what do people think?

There is a two week opening which just came free and I have put a hold on all three rooms. There are others who have shown interest for one or two of the rooms. I have to get back to Artspring ASAP on this.

The question is: Do we want July? If so do we want 2 rooms or all three?
The two weeks span the end of June and the beginning of July. Not sure of the dates.
Bob, I think that the end of June - beginning of July is a better time than the end of May. This is especially true if the show is on for Canada Day and the 4th of July.

I also think that we should invest in permanent reusable sandwich boards and a reusable banner to put up by the Fire House.

I volunteer to write press releases next year for the Vancouver, Victoria and Seattle press. They should cover the show in the arts or travel section.

I also volunteer to help organize Eclectic visions.

July would be good, also we seem to be growing in leaps amd bounds, so the 3 room would likely be best. There were 20-22 photographers in Photosynthesis show now on, and the 3 rooms were needed. Cheers, Nirmal
The exact dates are June 24th to July 9th inclusive.
I like those dates a lot better than the original ones. More people is good.
Good dates,especially with a long weekend in there. I'd say book it ASAP! What is the cost differential between booking 2 and 3 rooms?

I hope that everyone is monitoring this discussion and commenting.

As things stand we are being pressured to make a decision on whether we want the dates and as well whether we will use the whole gallery or just the two parts we used earlier this year.

I will post a blog to poll the membership on the change of dates. I will also post a blog to poll whether we want just 2 or all three galleries for our next exhibition. The latter poll will include a budget proposal.
