Electric Vehicle Show
The club has been invited to participate in the Electric Vehicle Show which will take place at the Farmers Institute over the weekend of June 23rd - 24th. Jim Standen, a former Photo Club member, is putting this together.
All photos of electric cars and bicycles are welcome. Nearer the time I will ask you to give me the details of any photographs you'd like to display there (photographers name, photo name, price etc.)
For ideas of the kind of photos that might work please look at the youtube video called 'Electric vehicles of Salt Spring Island'. Lots of happy, smiling people standing beside or in their vehicles.
Another interesting place to look at is a site about a new vehicle which is in between a car and an electric assist bike. Just google 'VEEMO" and click on 'Velometro mobility' and you'll find a short video about these handy vehicles that don't require a license to drive. The future is now!
At our next meeting (in April) I will try and get a sense of how many people are interested in participating in this event.
