Inspiration & Awe - Images to Share

Hi to the web people of the club... would it be possible to open a space (blog, forum or whatever) where we can forward/post images (not our own) that we come across that might be of interest to the club --- there are some wonderful photographs and other images which appear in a multitude of places throughout the web it would be fun to share... just wondering?  Thanks... MCB

The problem is not to post pictures from wherever. Sure we can create a forum for that. But it is considered ill-mannered, if not illegal, to post material from others on our own site. It is all about copyright. You need the expressed permission from the copyright holder to do that.

 

What you can do if you want to share is to post a link to the site which has caught your attention.

I think links to other sites and sources is the way to go, for the reasons Ernie mentions.

I can also see that posting 'appealing' images might produce an inordinate number of pages which, like so much else on the web, soon go 'derilect'. Housekeeping requires more work than producing, it seems.
